ABOUT US
The Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) programme was designed by the Department of Health in 2001 as a procurement vehicle for local health bodies and local authorities to redesign their service delivery and provide a better experience for communities living in areas identified as having the greatest need.
We are now one of 47 LIFT companies working in designated geographic areas across England that have been established by local partners, including Primary Care Trusts and Local Authorities. Our remit is to finance, design, plan, develop and manage a range of community projects from health and social care centres to special schools.
By facilitating the building of over £1500 million worth of modern, flexible and fit for purpose centres, the LIFT programme has made a real difference where it is most needed.
LIFT companies are overseen by Community Health Partnerships (CHP), a company owned by the Department of Health.
